General Information
DRESS CODE....YOUR HELP REQUESTED!

An Important Reminder!
The Neshaminy School District Policy 503 states "school attire must meet reasonable standards of cleanliness, not endanger student or public health, not be disruptive to the educational process and meet reasonable standards of appropriateness." As a parent, we are asking you closely monitor what your child is wearing to school. Some examples of clothing that are inappropriate for school are:
 | ...see through clothing
 | ...heavy clothing normally worn outdoors or clothing that is too big or too long, creating a hazardous or unsanitary condition.
 | ...any apparel that overexposes the body, such as short shorts, cut-off shirts, halter tops, tube tops, tank-top undershirts.
 | ...T-shirts with inappropriate designs or sayings, such as shirts that display alcohol/tobacco or drug messages, or messages/images of actual or implied violence.
| | | |
Children will naturally want to wear "trendy" clothing. However, some of these trends are not appropriate for school, such as over-sized clothing. Other trendy clothing may contain "messages" that are inappropriate for school and cause disruptions in the classroom and on the playground. (e.g. "Southpark" t-shirts, many professional wrestling items of clothing, "concert" shirts with violent images).
We are asking for your cooperation in enforcing the District Dress Code. Parents/Guardians of students wearing inappropriate clothing will be called so that you may bring in an appropriate item of clothing.
Thank you for your cooperation.
