A MESSAGE FROM THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

The Guidance Counseling Program at Walter Miller Elementary School is active in working along with parents and teachers to help all students reach their intellectual, social and emotional potentials. The role of the counselor is to act as an advocate for the students and assist in developing and implementing programs that address the needs and abilities of our students. An important goal is to work closely with students, their families, school faculty, and community resources to provide opportunities for our children to learn skills important for their future success. Counseling services include:

Individual Counseling-Counselor is available to meet with students individually to address any concerns.

Small Group Counseling- Counselor offers small group counseling on various topics to enhance coping strategies and promote problem solving.

Consultation-Counselor is available to meet with parents, teachers, and other outside professionals to discuss any concerns regarding students.
