General Information
WHAT BELONGS IN SCHOOL?

Our student handbook states that, "Students are not to bring radios or other expensive electronic equipment or games to school without the specific permission of the classroom teacher and written permission from the student's parents."
The reason for this policy is that we want the children to focus on the teaching/learning process and not be distracted by these "things". In addition, the school cannot be responsible for losses or breakage of these items.
As a parent, please decide if it is in your child's best interest to bring personal items to school, such as Beanie Babies and other toys. The children understand that they are not to buy, sell or trade items in school. Often times, however, children are distracted by their toys rather than their learning. Classroom teachers certainly have the authority to confiscate any items that are interfering with the learning process. Any confiscated items will be returned to the parent or child at a later date.
